The East Fishkill Fire District is located at the southern end of Dutchess County. The District consists of four main fire stations and two sub-stations.In addition to the four main fire companies, The Stormville Fire Company and The Wiccopee Fire Company also have substations which were started in 1983 and 1984 respectively. The entire District was and continues to be comprised of all volunteers. The East Fishkill Fire District is the largest volunteer agency in Dutchess County, covering almost 54 square miles.

With the increase in population and the expansion of the Fire District the need for equipment also grew. We now have numerous engines along with tankers for water (there are almost no hydrants in the District!). We also have a ladder truck for taller buildings, a hose truck for when we need to run hose long distances; a squad truck which enables us to fill Scott bottles on the scene. The squad truck has various specialized equipment some of which is for checking for carbon monoxide levels in your home or business, gas leaks and much more.
