About Us:

Eastern Elementary/Middle School is located near the town of Pembroke, Virginia, and is one of three elementary/middle schools in Giles County.  Our current enrollment for the 2017-18 school year is 431, serving students in grades Pre-K through seven.  At EEMS, we are committed to building a learning community of responsible citizens who have a passion for learning through an integrated curriculum.  We consider education as a partnership among parents, students, staff, and our neighboring community.  We feel fortunate to have a strong commitment from all of these.  EEMS is once again fully accredited and remains committed to providing a safe, respectful, and academically rigorous environment.  Students will learn through inquiry and collaboration, with the use of innovative strategies and technology to demonstrate success. We celebrate as a community, take pride in our successes, and always strive for continuous improvement.
