About Us:
The Ebenezer Baptist Church of Newburgh, New York was organized in 1908 and incorporated in 1918. Our church has for its worship center one of the most beautiful historic sites in the Empire State. The church sanctuary sits adjacent to the majestic Hudson River and accommodates 1,500 worshippers
comfortably.
We are proud to be labeled as the mother of African-American Baptist churches in the City of Newburgh. The Ebenezer Baptist Church is an open door congregation that is committed to the cause of Jesus Christ. As a Christian and historic landmark, we believe that we are truly a city that sits on a hill which cannot be hid.
As a new testament church of Baptized Saints, we believe that Christ established His church during His personal ministry here on earth. The same God has in return allowed us the privilege to be His witnesses in this present age. Our church fully embraces the doctrine of the Trinity. We believe that God is three personalities in One. This is to say that we fully embrace God as a being, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
The Ebenezer Baptist Church of the City of Newburgh makes functional water baptism (by emersion) and the Lord's Supper (the partaking of His body and His blood.)
We are the church that's "Bible Fed and Spirit Led" combining reverence with relevance to minister to the total person.
