Our Mission
The mission and goal of Ebony Horsewomen is to provide Comprehensive Equine Education with profound benefits of Equine and Animal Assisted Growth and Learning, Equine Assisted Therapy, horsemanship training and academic programming to build leaders, deter destructive behavior and increase academic achievement.
Our passion is horses and to stimulate the development of academic achievement, social skills, drive wellness as well as develop leadership and employment skills through horses.
Why Horses?
Horses are large, very powerful animals, and they can be unpredictable and intimidating. Approaching, interacting, and mounting a horse forces a person to confront any fear and insecurities they may have. Youth will learn how to keep their fear under control, how to remain calm, and how to move forward with positive feelings despite any underlying lack of confidence. They will also discover the exhilaration of horseback riding, especially if fear has prevented participation in physical activities in the past. Horses are mirrors to our emotions and have an uncanny ability to teach us about ourselves.
Our certified and nurturing staff provides the directions and support for positive youth development.
We have certified EAGALA Staff
