The Eddystone Fire Company was organized and chartered in 1900. The firehouse, now located at 1112 East Seventh Street, opened in the fall of 2013. It houses a 2000 KME Fire Engine; a 1987 Hahn Fire Engine; a 2012 GMC Ambulance; and a 2012 Chevy Tahoe Quick Response Unit/Utility Vehicle. The Eddystone Fire Department also maintains several marine units used for water rescues.
The fire company membership consists of men and women volunteers. The company not only provides fire protection and EMS services to the Borough of Eddystone, but we maintain mutual aid agreements with other companies in the surrounding communities. The company is always prepared to respond to any fire or medical emergency.
Eddystone Fire Company is a partner with 6abc and Operation Save a Life, which provides free detectors.
