The Eleanor Van Gelder School serves students in grades 3 through 6.  We are two schools in one:

Grades 3 and 4 follow the “traditional” elementary model where students have a primary teacher that teaches all core subjects - Reading, Writing, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies.  The remaining subjects are taught by subject area specialists

Grades 5 and 6 students have a different teacher for all subjects.  Your child will have a schedule that resembles that of an individualized middle or high school schedule.  However, your child will generally stay with his or her peers from class to class.
