About Us:
The Exira-Elk Horn-Kimballton Community School District is located between the cities of Des Moines and Omaha, Nebraska. We entered into a whole-grade sharing agreement in 2011 and consolidated in 2014. Both locations have a preschool and a kindergarten. The building in Exira also houses the 4th - 8th grade students. The building in Elk Horn also houses 1st - 3rd and 9th - 12th grade students. The district is a 1:1 laptop initiative where students in grades 2nd- 7th have access to their own Chromebook and the 8th - 12th are able to bring home a Chromebook. Our districts strive to maximize student achievement in core academic areas while emphasizing 21st century survival skills for every student. We believe in individual student success.
On July 1, 2014, our two districts became one named Exira-Elk Horn-Kimballton.
