History
Faith’s story began in 1989 as a desire in the hearts of two couples to establish a new church in the Williamsburg area. Pastor Michael Privett became the pastor for this new ministry named Faith Baptist Church.
Our first decade of ministry brought growth, testing, and missionary outreach. The work relocated several times, culminating with a move into a new church facility on seven acres of land at our current location.
Our second decade of ministry brought more ministry opportunities such as: missionary trips, the addition of office and ministry staff, beginning new ministries and the construction of a new activities building.
Our third decade of ministry was a year of transition. In 2011 Dr. Michael Privett resigned and moved to South Carolina to serve at GFA as one of the administrative directors, overseeing church planting and development. After much prayer, in 2012, Pastor Robert Eshleman with over 18 years in ministry, was called as the new senior pastor. Pastor Bob and his wife, Kathi arrived in Virginia from Illinois in October of that year.
