Faith United Community Church in the Prescott Country Club (PCC) in central Arizona was founded in 1971 by the Rev. Charles Franklin Parker with the help of his two good friends, Norman and Johnie Lee Fain. Norman's father, Dan, had established a cattle ranch between the Mingus and Bradshaw mountain ranges, covering some eight townships. What is now the Prescott Country Club was a part of that ranch. In 1970, conversations began between Norman Fain, Dr. Parker and the Southwest Conference of the United Church of Christ to plan for a church to meet the needs of the families in PCC. Land was donated by PCC Properties, Inc. in 1971. The first service in the new church was held December 1, 1974. Dr. Parker was the Pastor as well as the Moderator for four years, when he resigned because of ill health
