Each family we sponsor receives an equal share of the proceeds. Along with the money, we have a canned food drive and the food is divided equally between the two families.
Craft vendors are setup throughout the farm grounds, live country and gospel music is playing on the stage, children's games are played on the side lawn of the old house, and the concession stands are serving good food and drinks. On Saturday afternoon, the Ole Timey Auction is held on the front lawn of the old house (donations are taken from area stores and others, and are taken all year long in preparation for the Auction), and Dolly Merritt is making chicken and dumplings on the old wood stove, as well as pinto beans and cornbread. Abe's concession stand is making BBQ sandwiches and "petro's", while Red Eye's has hotdogs and hamburgers. Not to mention the cakes, cookies, and goodies sold by Ima Lewis, and you'll find cotton candy across the way from one of our local churches, ooh and the kettle korn.
