The museum is located in a historic building, the former Covey and Williams’ Garage and Ford Dealership, located in the alley behind the Town Hall and Senior Center. According to John Wilson of the Maryland Institute College of Art, the building has 1920’s industrial architectural characteristics. He recommended that the Historical Society preserve as much of the original portion of the outside of the building as possible and replace those added features with something more characteristic of the earlier period of time.
Space is available for class reunions fund raising events, and school trips. The history of Federalsburg and its surroundings will become more than a memory – it will come alive through observation along with education.
