Mission:
The church is generous in its support of missions, locally and worldwide, giving over $20,000 to missions every year. Besides basic support given to the work of the American Baptist Churches the church supports theological education, Baptist camps, children's homes, hospitals and colleges both at home and overseas. The church also responds to disaster and famine situations, giving generously for these causes.
At a local level we support missions such as Habitat for Humanity (which has its office in our church), the Heifer Project, Self-Help Food Pantry, Food 'n Friends Kitchens, the Protestant Chaplaincy at Sturdy Hospital, the work of the Attleboro Area Council of Churches, and the local Crop Walk for Hunger in October. We also offer a soup kitchen on Thursday afternoons in conjunction wiht the Food 'n Friends program of the Council of Churches.
There are opportunities for hands-on volunteering such as Habitat for Humanity, Food 'n Friends Kitchens, and mission work tours to La Romana, Dominican Republic. Also the Missions Circle (meets third Monday at 10 a.m.) does craft work to send to missionaries and to Sturdy Hospital.
We also host several community groups- The Little Folks Pre-school, Old Colony Habitat for Humanity, AA Big Book Group, and Linsey-Woolsey Quilt Guild.
