First Church Mission

Roaring Spring First Church of the Brethren exists to be a community of welcome and worship where people find peace, purpose, and power through Jesus Christ.

Key Goals of First Church

1. Outreach and witness to the community by ministering to the community's needs, offering ourselves through music and worship.
2. Congregational Care through visitation, fellowship and mentoring.
3. Strengthen the Sunday School Ministry through fellowship, intergenerational functions, and teaching.
4. Spiritually Nurture our Members through teaching and preaching of worship and thereby grow the membership spiritually.
5. Utilize People's Talents and Abilities by examining the use of gifts, skills and volunteer time and use our congregation's existing structure to call, equip and support leaders.
6. Growing the Congregation:
   1. Building up Family Ministries by impacting children, youth, younger and older adults.
   2. Use invitational Ministries to reach out to those with minimal or no faith connections.
