In the Book of Acts Jesus told His young church to take the joy of the Good News to Jerusalem, to Samaria and to the ends of the earth.  We try to live out our mission locally, nationally and globally in that same mindset.  First Congregational is predicated on living out the faith we sing, pray and preach on Sundays as a way of life.  This may take the form of serving meals at a soup kitchen or on the streets of Chicago, or repairing tornado damaged homes in the Midwest during disaster relief trips, or marching and advocating for the poor and marginalized.  Our mission is the love of Christ, and the ways we express it are many!
