First Lutheran Church is blessed with a rich history in Moline, Illinois. The present building was erected in 1875, costing less than $25,000. While original pews are still in the balcony, the sanctuary has been renovated, as well as the rest of the building. Most major improvements were completed in the spring of 2004.
New to the lower level in 2004 is a youth area called Faith Alley. It is equipped with an air hockey table, miniature pool table, foosball, a game table for chess and checkers, Christian board games, and Christian puzzles. The walls are decorated with scriptural and spiritual posters, along with bright colored banners. the new seating area in an inviting place for the youth to enjoy conversations and fellowship with each other.

Each Week as our church family and friends gather to worship God, we offer joyful praise with the singing of liturgies and hymns, exciting preaching, and prayers of the people.
First Lutheran celebrates life in Christ by offering Holy Communion at all Sunday services. All baptized Christians are welcome to receive Holy Communion. Communion is also brought to our home-bound and ill members.
