OUR VISION

We have a firm foundation for faithful action.  We feel called to pray for, and develop, the will to act.  We seek to cultivate and nurture existing and future relationships, and strengthen them through small and large group interaction.

We do have some weaknesses that get in the way of doing what God calls us to do and be as Church. The good news is that we CAN, with God’s help, change. We can work toward communicating more intentionally and respectfully with one another.However, if we are to successfully come together as the body of Christ, we must all examine ourselves, recognize our gifts and talents and claim our part in the body. Each part of the body is needed and no part is more important than any other. As followers of Jesus we must honor and encourage each other. We note that we would benefit from a pastor’s presence along the way.

We have begun to imagine a church where spiritual growth is a priority and where believers and doubters come together to focus on God and follow Jesus as best they can. What would that look like? Just imagine a church that reflected on its vision and mission every year and took what they learned into the community. Just imagine a church that followed Jesus into places they are reluctant to go. Just imagine a church that got to know and serve their neighborhood. Just imagine a church where different viewpoints could be safely expressed. Just imagine a church where diversity of opinion is viewed as healthy instead of threatening. Just imagine a church where everyone would be excited to invite young and old to join them for worship. Just imagine a church where all gifts are honored and people are encouraged to use them.
