About
A Rainbow of caring - Church members individually and as a congregation have been instrumental in organizing and fund-raising for Cache Valley Hospice, CAPSA, Stokes Nature Center, the Faith & Fellowship Center, Ten Thousand Villages fair-trade program, and Somebody's Attic (to help support CAPSA), plus the community-wide Westminster Hand-Bell Choir and an ecumenical Vacation Bible School each summer. Through various means, including our operating budget, special offerings, and proceeds from our Cache County fair booth operated each summer for 51 years, we have financially supported the Cache Community Food Pantry, the free health clinic, Angel's Landing, the Cache Valley Literacy program, and many more worthy causes. This year, the $1600 we raised through the Fair Booth went to Meals on Wheels. We produce "Almost Broadway," an annual variety-style musical for the community as a free-will fund-raiser that raises about $4500 annually to pay for upkeep and improvement of our building.
For more than 20 years, we have provided a home for a Korean and two Hispanic Christian churches until they were ready to set out on their own. For many years, we have hosted Boy Scout Troop 1, Cub Pack 299, Alcoholics Anonymous, Overeaters Anonymous, a community Bel Canto Choir, Cache Community Connections, ecumenical youth activities, and other groups. Annually, we host the Alternative Gift Market, the Iris Society Show, a community rummage sale, gatherings of youth and adults who collect for UNICEF, and interdenominational services during Holy Week. Our staff and facility host special occasions, such as weddings and funerals, for members as well as people who have no church home in Cache Valley. We also have a long and ongoing history of world outreach, of prayer, and thousands of dollars of mission support for peacemaking, hunger and disaster relief, education and more.
