Our mission is to make God’s love visible through spiritual renewal, learning and outreach.
In order to be God’s disciples in this new world, we will turn away from the status quo and preoccupation with survival to focus on God’s call to rebirth and new possibilities for ministry, service and outreach, trusting in His guidance and promises.
Our vision incorporates redirection of our congregation’s energy, leadership development, acceptance of the new life that God intends for us, and willingness to trust God as we are changed by the power of the Holy Spirit.
We seek not to abandon our traditions, rituals and programs, but to build on them to serve the needs of our church family. At the same time, we will reach out to the unchurched and diverse populations and minister to the many racial and ethnic groups who have needs and resources that can enrich our service.
Being mindful of Jesus’ teaching that “he who saves his life shall lose it”, our mission is to be loving and faithful instruments in God’s church, relinquishing our barriers to what God wants us to be and embracing His vision for our lives and our Church.
