Mission:
We are a people created for relationship with God, who, by his grace and through his son, Jesus Christ, restores us to wholeness and thus, transforms us body, soul and spirit. We believe we are a people called by the Holy Spirit to a reconciled relationship with God through Christ.
As a congregation of the Presbyterian Church USA we are of varied opinions but committed to the statements of faith contained in the Book of Confessions. We are a united constitutional body working to respond to God's call for reconciliation and service. Our power is shared and decisions are collaborative.
As we travel on our journey we seek:
U to worship God in song and in prayer, in word and in silence, in celebration and in sacrament, in praise and in reflection;
U to nurture one another in all of our diversity-in fellowship and friendship, and in compassionate acts;
U to search for wisdom through comprehensive, challenging programs of education for people of all ages;
U to guide our youth in discerning and expressing their spiritual gifts, in participating in the life of the church., and in equipping them to continue their faith journey in adulthood;
U to share the Good News of redemption to those outside of our church community near and far-by offering the work of our hands and our monies through stewardship;
U to be a congregation that supports missions both locally and internationally through giving and participating;
U to gain spiritual direction and be a source of joy, peace and hope in this weary world for those in need and
U to be a church which meets the diverse spiritual, physical and social needs of the varied age groups in our congregation as we seek to address the needs of our community and such issues as poverty, single parent families, senior and youth concerns.
As Christians we seek to be led by God individually, corporately and as a part of the church universal as we joyfully live and worship together. We pray that all we do will bring glory to His Name.
