For nearly two hundred years, persons have gathered at the corner of Park Avenue and Diamond Street on the Public Square in downtown Mansfield, to worship God and to seek to come to a common understanding of what it means to be disciples of Jesus Christ in each new day.
Since 1809, when James Copus gathered with his followers on the banks of "the Spring," Christians have met here for worship and for work, for study and for service, for fellowship and for faith, so that the name of Jesus Christ might be lifted up and so that men and women, girls and boys, might also be lifted into a saving relationship with the One who calls us into a lifestyle of love and joy.
Each week we come here for worship, for Sunday School, for Bible study, for prayer, for fellowship, for service. And each week we go out into the community, inspired again by the presence of the Holy Spirit, enabled to be God's people in the world.
