Folly Beach United Methodist Church lives into the mission of the United Methodist Church to make disciples pf Jesus Christ. Through baptism, you are incorporated into the household of God.

You gather in worship, lifting voices to glorify God and hearing the wonder of God's word. Church school offers opportunities for children and adults to learn about God's love revealed in Christ Jesus through the biblical witness. At the table of grace, you are filled, experiencing the only mystery through which Christ gives himself to you; through which the Holy Spirit empowers you to offer yourselves to others.

You scatter in service. Jesus teaches that "Just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me." Through congregational caring teams, you minister those in need, for every baptized Christian is a minister. Folly Beach United Methodist Church is a loving community integrated into larger communities; entering into worship and fellowship with our island brothers and sisters of other Christian traditions; reaching out in mission to those living not only on the edge, but on the margins of society. Through your generosity in 100% apportioned giving, you touch God's children across the state, the nation, and the globe, for, as John Wesley affirms, "The world is my parish."

My prayer for you is that God continue to guide you in living faithfully into your vow to uphold the church by your prayers, your presence, your gifts, and your service-so that this church may be a beacon to shine the light of Christ into the darkest corners of a world in need of healing.
