The Fort Defiance Humane Society is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization run by a small staff.
The Fort Defiance Humane Society will continually demonstrate its commitment to the highest principles of humane care and professional treatment for all injured, ill, stray or unwanted animals.  We will provide for their safety and comfort; alleviate their suffering; strive to place them in homes that will provide a quality lifetime commitment; discourage all forms of animal cruelty; educate the public; foster humane behavior towards animals and establish a mutually positive relationship with the community.
