The Police Department comprises three major divisions with specific areas of responsibilities for each division.

The Patrol Division is the largest unit and actively patrols all areas of the Township 24 hours per day. The officers in the Patrol Division respond to calls for police services and provide traffic-related duties, including enforcement activities.

The Investigation Division includes the Juvenile and Detective Bureaus. These bureaus provide in depth investigation of criminal activities, as well as perform special investigations which are unique to juveniles.

The Services Division is composed of the Records and Communications Bureaus. The Communications Bureau coordinates all radio and telephone services for the Police Department. The Records Bureau maintains the records of all traffic and police incidents which have been reported.
