Marci Radcliffe grew up in Warren, Ohio. Graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in 2001. Marci has always had an interest in civil and volunteer service. She began volunteering at the local children’s hospital by visiting young children diagnosed with terminal illnesses. She spent time playing games of monopoly and making crafts with other kids after her own battle with childhood leukemia at the young age of ten. When asked about this she responded that her fondest memory was making candy canes into reindeer with plastic “googly” eyes and pipe cleaners then passing them out to hospital residents and guests. “That always garnered a smile.”
She graduated from Penn State University in 2011 with an Associate’s Degree in Business Management. Marci is a full-time student at Penn State University - World Campus, now pursuing her Baccalaureate Degree in Business Administration. Marci has worked with First National Bank of Pennsylvania for the past eight years. The last four have been with the investment banking division.
Marci met her husband Brendon Radcliffe in 2001. They married in 2007 and purchased their first home in Hermitage in 2010. Brendon is a Project Designer and Web Developer at The Primary Health Network in Sharon, Pa. Marci & Brendon reside in their cozy home on Lyle Dr with their cat Katze and recently rescued an English Bulldog Miss Moneypenny.
Being actively involved in civic and political issues for years, most recently as the Treasurer for the Missa Eaton for Congress campaign, I have sought to create effective change in Mercer County politics. I have served as Vice Chair of the Mercer County Democrat Committee, as a member of the Board of Elections of Mercer County in 2011, Secretary of the Democrat Women of Mercer County (DWMC) as well as the chair of the DWMC Ways & Means committee. I have served as the Treasurer of the Mercer County Young Democrats (MCYD) and worked for local candidates with the hope of giving Pennsylvanians a choice. My family and I now feel that the time has come for me to offer myself as a servant in the public arena. I am hopeful that I can bring some of those ideas straight from the people to the Courthouse in Mercer.
As a Hermitage resident, I have also been actively involved in volunteer efforts in my community. I have served on the board of the Community Food Warehouse Annual 5K for the past three years. I am a member of Sharon Kiwanis and the Mercer County unit of the N.A.A.C.P. I have been a volunteer for community organizations including the Meals on Wheels, United Way of Mercer County, Shenango Valley Professionals (SVP), The American Heart Association, The American Cancer Society, The Shenango River Watchers, Sharon Arts & Music Initiative (SAMI), American Business Women’s Association (ABWA) and I am currently a member of Hermitage Parks & Recreation Board.
