We are a small community supported vegetable farm located in Appomattox County, Virginia, providing food for folks in the Richmond, Farmville and Lynchburg areas. We believe in being as gentle as possible to the land, to ourselves as farmers, and to the people who eat our food. To that end, we farm using only low impact, sustainable methods: no synthetic pesticides and no harmful fertilizers.

We also believe that good food, carefully grown and creatively shared, is a powerful tool for cultivating strong family and community connections. We are integrating family, education and outreach programs into our farm.

In a full share, we aim to provide most of the vegetables for a family of four, or two vegetarians, or two people who cook in a lot, for one week. A half share is half as much food. Our approach is to grow honest, delicious food -- to provide your family with lots of staple vegetables, with enough diversity to keep it interesting. You'll find information about your share on the farm blog every week, along with recipe suggestions.

Pick-up is available on-farm or at convenient drop sites in Richmond, Appomattox, or Lynchburg. This year we're also considering a Roanoke site -- stay tuned!
