This year we will be offering a 20 week mini-share; home delivered for those living within the Albany city limits. This will be a grocery bag or small box delivered to your home. Currently this service is scheduled for Thursday afternoons. For those not living within the city limits we are anticipating a Pick-up location at the corner of Lark & Madison for the same time. The other Thursday pick up option is the Five Rivers Center in Delmar. For those living in the Schoharie, Middleburgh and Cobleskill area shares may be picked up at the farm on Mondays. The deadline to sign up for this year is March 15.

For those interested in picking up shares at the farm, this will be available for Monday afternoon

The first delivery will be made the last week of May and the last will be in October.

This years shares will begin with salad greens, radishes, spinach, kale and early cabbage. As the season progresses more seasonal vegetables including peas, snap beans, cucumbers, sweet corn, beets, and early onions will be added. The season will end with the addition of potatoes and squash. The first share will contain a pint of maple syrup and the last will contain a pumpkin. A selection of edible flowers, and herbs are also being grown and will be added in small quantities for color and flavor.

The first pepper plants have been started and the first of the long season onions are starting to germinate. We are anticipating this years maple season will start in the next two to three weeks and look forward to a sweet spring. Meanwhile we continue to get requests for csa shares for this growing season.

On March 12 Full Circle will be at the Troy Winter Market in the Atrium for a Farmer/Consumer Fair organized by the Northeast Organic Farming Association of New York (NOFA-NY).

This is one of the first winters that anyone has been in residence at the farm in nearly 100 years and it is somewhat amazing anyone did so before. Plenty of snow made for frequent plowing of the quarter mile driveway and strong winds meant even more need to plow to keep the path open.
