A Tibetan Buddhist temple and retreat center nestled in the foothills of the Prescott National Forest, Garchen Institute is a haven of remarkable beauty. Known for our captivating views of the San Fransisco Peaks, the Red Rocks of Sedona, Sycamore Canyon, and the tri-city basin, our lovely "Island of Enlightenment" is truly a getaway from the busy schedule of daily life. Visitors are welcome daily from 9am - 5pm, however the office is closed on Wednesdays. The White Tara Practice is held every Sunday at 2pm, and all are free to attend. This is the home of His Eminence Garchen Rinpoche, a Tibetan monk and meditation master loved by tens of thousands worldwide.
