About:
Garden Chapel is a nondenominational Christian church located in Middletown, Pennsylvania near Harrisburg International Airport. Garden Chapel began in 1976 as an outgrowth of a Bible study group meeting in the area. The church has grown to about 250 people weekly in the Sunday morning worship service, and in 1995 the assembly moved from its former location to the present facility on Edinburgh Road.
Over the last 26 years, the church has had three former pastors. The current Senior Pastor, Paul Maulfair Jr., has ministered since 1986. In January 2003, Jon Shiery was appointed as Associate Pastor Intern.
What do we believe?
-We believe the Scriptures are inspired by God and the final authority for faith and life.
-We believe in one God existing in three persons: The Father, Jesus Christ and The Holy Spirit.
-We believe Christ died for our sins -We believe Salvation is by grace through faith alone in Christ, apart from human merit.
-We believe that Christians are to live holy lives.
-We believe the Church ’s commission is the winning of lost souls to Christ [missions].
-We believe in water baptism by immersion and celebrating the Lord's supper.
-We believe Jesus will rapture the Church prior to the Tribulation and afterward return with His Church to rule on the earth for one thousand years.
-We believe that Biblical speaking in tongues has ceased.
