The Geyserville Chamber of Commerce remains part of old Americana: On the second Tuesday of each month, members meet at the old Oriental Hall to enjoy a home style dinner accompanied by the best of the area's wine. The members represent just about everybody in the area: descendants of the original Italian immigrants who brought the winemaking skills to the Valley a hundred years ago, merchants who have moved here to serve the community, and a more recent wave of new land owners or gentleman farmers, attracted by the charm of the wine country and the good life it brings.
There are over 200 members in the Chamber, but to be able to attend a dinner meeting, it is necessary to quickly send in one's reservations the minute the announcement arrives because only the first 125 can be admitted due to the limitations of space at the Oriental Hall. Although a speaker is featured to discuss common interests, it is the ambiance of friendship and old time nostalgia that is the real draw to these gatherings.
