History:
The Kiwanis Club of Peninsula-Gig Harbor was organized November 6, 1968, and chartered December 14, 1968, with the assistance of our sponsor, the University Place Club of Tacoma.

We were the second service club on the Peninsula and the first to choose a morning meeting time. We were chartered with 28 members and two of those original charter members remain as active members in the Club.
