Chruch History
God?s Faith Pavilion Ministries was conceived in October 2002 through a vision given to Bishop Benjamin Nelson during a vacation here in Georgia. The theme ?Come hide us in his Love?, taken from Psalm 27 v. 5 was given to him, signifying the God type of faith and the openness of fellowship in bringing all under the umbrella of the love of God.
As a humble servant of God, he obeyed what was led on his heart, went to his home in New York, and without hesitation made all preparation to migrate to Georgia, in March 2003.
In April 2003, services began in the Nelson?s family room, with the attendance of his family of five and a visiting relative. Three members were added in a few weeks, and our church remained as a church by the grace of God.
By May 2003 God?s Faith Pavilion Ministries was established as an incorporated organization. During this time Bishop Nelson was also preoccupied in preparing to establish our overseas ministries. Finally, by December 2003 God?s Faith Pavilion Ministries gave birth to two churches in Aruba, one in Venezuela, four in Africa, and one in New York. Glory be to God!!
Our ministry here in Georgia experienced a radical growth by January 2004, which left us no choice but to seek a new place of worship. This was found at 6038 Covington Hwy. in Decatur by our First Lady, Evangelist Nelson in June 2004.
By December 2004, this facility became inconvenient as growth spurred and with much fasting and prayer, God prepared a more convenient place of worship located at 4862 Glenwood Road in Decatur, which is our current location.
OurPurpose
We believe that God has made of one blood all nations (Acts 17:26), therefore, He is no respecter of persons (Acts 10:35), but the blood of Jesus was shed for all men. (John 3:16). The church is composed of all who have been redeemed from sin by the blood and baptized into the one body by the Spirit. That it is our purpose and duty of this church to preach the undiluted gospel and tell of the unsearchable riches of Christ in urging and persuading men everywhere to repent and serve the living God.
