Mission:
The Gold Discovery Park Association is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the interpretation and conservation of Marshall Gold Discovery State Historic Park.
About:
The Gold Discovery Park Association is a private, non-profit corporation, governed by a set of bylaws and a board of directors. It is designated as a 501(c)(3) agency by the Internal Revenue Service. All donations to GDPA are tax deductible. The 7-member volunteer board of directors are elected to two-year terms at the annual general membership meeting in November of each year.
Since 1982, the Gold Discovery Park Association has been designated as the cooperating association to the Marshall Gold Discovery State Historic Park by the State of California Department of Parks and Recreation.
The GDPA is dedicated to enhancing the educational and interpretive programs at the Marshall Gold Discovery State Historic Park -- needs that are impossible for state parks to meet during these critical financial times in our state.
The Gold Discovery Park Association is funded through grants, memberships, donations and fundraising events.
