Goal

Our goal here at Gold Oak School is for every child to reach their highest potential. In order to do that, students need to be here everyday and on time. While we all realize that no child should be in the classroom ill, we are seeing a marked increased in absences and tardies, and of children leaving the classroom early, especially on Friday afternoons. Our staff has a huge responsibility to prepare all of their students to meet today’s demanding academic standards, and it takes every minute of their day to do that. As parents you can help by seeing that your child is in school unless they are ill, by making sure they are here on time and ready to work, and by not pulling them out of class early unless it is an urgent situation. While teachers will always provide makeup work, learning is just not the same without that face-to-face interaction between teacher and student.
