About Golden Apple Chorus
The GOLDEN APPLE CHORUS of Sweet Adelines International is an award-winning chorus of women singers of all ages, from all walks of life. Our members live in Westchester, Putnam and Fairfield counties. The chorus performs exciting “a cappella” musical arrangements in four-part barbershop harmony.
Our musical director is Dr. Anastasio "Stash" Rossi, of Katonah, NY. Stash is formerly the Coordinator of Music for the Mount Pleasant School District in Thornwood, NY. He is also Assistant Director and baritone for the Westchester Chordsmen of the Barbershop Harmony Society (formerly SPEBSQSA).
The GOLDEN APPLE CHORUS was founded in April 1969, and is committed to educational and artistic goals through musical entertainment. We are affiliated with the ArtsWestchester.
Our purpose is to make an important contribution to the community and each other, while perpetuating the uniquely American art form of barbershop harmony. We perform an extensive and varied repertoire. Our music comes from Broadway shows, movies, the land of Jazz and blues, the Big Band era and popular modern tunes. The chorus is available to entertain at local events, including fundraisers, conventions, birthday parties, holiday gatherings, community events and more.
