To preach the saving grace of Jesus Christ as we minister to the temperal needs of humanity.Saintt Paul Church of God in Christ in Belle Glade, Florida was birthed in the homes of a group of sincere saints who gathered for prayer meetings in July 1961. The late Mother Ida Miles, a dedicated prayer warrior, was the leader of this group. As the prayer group increased in number, the decision was made to formulate an organization, and the mantle of leadership was entrusted to Brother Clarence Brown. Mother Ida Miles became the first official member. The search for a church home began. During the Convocation of the Church of God in Christ, Eastern Florida Jurisdiction in August 1961, the late Bishop E. D. Johnson ordained Minister Clarence Brown, and appointed him as pastor of The Church of God in Christ 2. The church was assigned to the Sebring District.Belle Glade, Florida is forty-five minutes west of West Palm Beach and one and one-half hours north of Miami. This area, with vast fields of sugar cane and where the soil is referred to as "black gold", is the winter vegetable capital. Come and visit us! We have "church" at Greater St. Paul Church of God in Christ! The late renowned national evangelist of The Church of God in Christ, Elder C. H. Butler, affectionately referred to our church as "the city church in a country town.
