Mission Statement:
It is the intent of the faculty, staff, administration and community of Groveland Elementary School to insure that every child has the opportunity to achieve his or her potential.
Philosophy:
The total staff of Groveland Elementary School is charged with the responsibility to work cooperatively in an effort to provide an environment where children will find a warm, helpful, atmosphere for learning, develop social skills, personal interest and self discipline. In all that we do, we will continue to focus on the academic, emotional, and social needs of children and strive to help them to become the best that they can be!
Objectives:
This philosophy shall motivate each of us to strive to achieve the following objectives:
1. To meet the developmental needs of the individual student.
2. To develop each student’s initiative to achieve higher goals.
3. To teach and maintain more than just the basic skills in our county curriculum.
4. To strengthen moral values of the child and apply them in everyday experiences.
5. To develop a sense of responsibility within the student toward self and others.
6. To create opportunities for students to develop higher level thought processes.
7. To encourage cooperation between the school and the home to meet the child’s learning needs.
8. To create and promote a literate environment for all children both at home and in the school.
