Hampstead Elementary School, opened in 1985, is located in the northeastern part of Carroll County. Our students live in the town of Hampstead and the rural community that surrounds it. Our student population is just over 600 children. Upon leaving here, our students attend either North Carroll Middle School or Shiloh Middle School and then move on to North Carroll High School.
HES houses the elementary regional special education programs for the community. We serve students with a variety of special needs for Manchester, Spring Garden, Sandymount, and Hampstead Elementary Schools. These services include Infant and Toddlers through fifth grade, as well as general education curricula. We also house itinerant special education staff that assist students and teachers at Hampstead and surrounding schools in meeting the needs of students.
Mission:
Hampstead Elementary is a team working together for all students to achieve their maximum potential.
Vision:
We see Hampstead Elementary School as a TEAM willing to take risks to ensure high achievement. Faculty and staff will collaborate to provide consistent instruction designed to motivate and challenge all students. Students will take responsibility for developing the skills needed to become lifelong learners. Parents will be actively involved in providing the support necessary for the success of our learning community.
