Mission:
We will provide students high-content, engaging schoolwork in an environment that supports and challenges them so they learn the Gwinnett Academic Knowledge and Skills at high levels..High-content, engaging schoolwork? It is work we create for students to do that is challenging to them, that they keep working on even when they find it difficult, and that they gain satisfaction from doing. It is based on the AKS in core content areas and performance standards in the areas of reading, writing, mathematics, and technology.

Vision:
We envision a school where all children develop a positive image of their future because they are equipped with the knowledge and skills they need to be intentional and productive learners and effective leaders.A positive image of their future? Our students will see themselves as successful people capable of pursuing their dreams and goals with confidence and enthusiasm. Intentional and productive learners? These are students who learn on purpose-not because they are told to, but because they are committed to learning. They use basic knowledge and skills to solve problems. Effective Leaders? These are students who are proactive, can make good decisions, resolve conflict, and take responsibility for their learning and behavior.

Beliefs:
We believe all students can learn more and at higher levels than they are currently learning. Doing whatever it takes for each Harbins student to be successful. Building on a strong base of teamwork, respect, trust, learning, leadership, and a focus on students to become an even better school for our students. Meeting regularly as teams and professional learning communities to focus on student work and assessment results and to share effective instructional practices that engage students and produce desired results. Aligning resources (time, space, funding, people, technology) to support student learning and achieve desired results. Enlisting parent involvement in and commitment to their children’s learning and success.
