Harold Dorzweiler was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved farming and working for his parent’s company – Cattlemen’s Oil. He loved playing his accordion in his band, the Country Ducthmen.

When Harold was diagnosed with cancer, the family traveled to KU Medical Center frequently for treatment. While there, we witnessed the great need for those who could not afford lodging, fuel or even the loss of their job. Harold said we should try to do something to help them in some way. On September 23, 2010, he empowered us to do what he wanted.

The fund was set up after his passing as a way to honor his memory an give other families the chance to spend the time they have focused on each other.

The Harold Dorzweiler Cancer Memorial Fund was established in 2010.

100% of the proceeds go to people who have cancer and need assistance.

The fund has helped more than 40 families.
