At Harrison, we believe that every child can achieve academic success. With parentsand teachers working together as a team, every child will continue to succeed. Language Arts and Mathematics Standards and Grade Level Benchmarks continue to be our instructional priority. Grade level teams of teachers meet weekly to discuss student progress and strategies to support student success. English Language Learners and at-risk students receive focused instruction during the school day and during off track intersession. The instructional needs of Harrison’s high achievers and Gifted and Talented students are met through specialized instruction within the regular classroom.Harrison’s technology committee is working to ensure that all teachers are trained in the use of technology in the classroom and how it can be used as a tool to increase student achievement. All classrooms at Harrison have 2-4 computers available for students’ use and for instructional purposes.We will continue our efforts to support student achievement through effective use of educational technology.
