Established in 1938, the Harrisonville Fire Company is located in South Harrison Township, Gloucester County, New Jersey about 40 miles from Atlantic City and 30 minutes from Philadelphia, PA. Station 36-1. We serve an area of over 15 square miles and protect over 2000 residents in this mostly rural community.
We are an all volunteer fire company with about 12-15 active members that respond to our community's needs. We respond to about 100 calls per year, with one-third being a "mutual aid" request from our neighboring communities.
Our average response time, from when we are toned out to having a truck on the road, is about 8 minutes, longer during the work day due to a shortage of daytime volunteers.
