About Us:

We are a local historical society that was chartered in 1908; the Harrodsburg Historical Society and Harrodsburg Genealogy & Research Library are dedicated to preserving the history of Harrodsburg & Mercer County. It has often been voted one of the best small Kentucky research libraries. 

Since the late 1920’s, the Society has been the proud owners of Old Mud Meeting House. Old Mud Meeting House, erected in 1800, is the first Dutch Reformed Church west of the Alleghenies.
