Founded in 1987, Hawk Creek Wildlife Center, Inc. is a nonprofit 501(c) organization committed to creating knowledge and understanding of the natural world and it's relationship to humankind through education, rehabilitation and propagation.
Hawk Creek has been featured on national television, at international conferences and recognized as one of New York State's largest outreach environmental education facilities. We provide over 2,500 programs annually, sharing WNY's natural and cultural heritage with thousands of children and adults. We provide a wide array of educational services from Live Wildlife programs, Adopt-An-Animal, Exploration Kits, internships, workshops, public events and more. Our 80+ non-releasable animals serve as ambassadors for their kind, conveying compelling messages of environmental sensitivity and stewardship to our program audiences.
Hawk Creek is dedicated to the specialized care, rehabilitation and release of injured and orphaned wildlife and takes in over three hundred patients a year, 95% of which are birds. We are one of NYS's premier eagle rehabilitation and education facilities, committed to preserving the eagles of NYS and beyond. We are also dedicated to reestablishing populations of WNY's rarest raptor, the Barn Owl, through our successful and award-winning propagation program.
