Our local CSA members enjoy weekly visits to the farm, where they can pick their own herbs and flowers, chat with the farmers and spend quality time with our chickens. Our members in Woodstock pick up their veggies at the Woodstock Jewish Congregation on Glasco Turnpike, and are welcome to visit us at the farm, just across the river. Our Brooklyn members also enjoy the benefits of the Red Shed Community Garden, where they can relax in an oasis of green in the big city, and may have the opportunity to grow a few vegetables in their own garden plot. Brooklyn members also are invited up to the farm several times each season for work parties and tours.
Hearty Roots Community Farm is located in the village of Tivoli in New York's Hudson Valley. The farm is a community resource where people can connect with the land and one another - fill the belly and the soul!
The heart of the farm is our Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program. Members of Hearty Roots CSA visit the farm every week during the growing season to pick up a share of the bounty - naturally grown produce, freshly harvested by the farmers. In return, CSA members pay a membership fee to keep the farm running. At Hearty Roots we strive to keep locally grown produce affordable for everyone, and offer payment options for those living on a low income.
