Our Story

In April of 2006, Pastors Hal and Sondra Hardy moved to Cumming, GA with a love for the people of this city and a passion for the Great Commission. They had a desire to share with the world that “God wants to know you personally and He has a great plan your life!” With the help of 35 people Highlands Church began on Oct 8, 2006. 

From the beginning, Highlands Church focused on reaching out to the non-churched community and building strong families and great relationships through small groups. The life-giving message of the Gospel, the passion and joy of Sunday services, and the heart to reach the lost has truly made Highlands Church a breath of fresh air to Georgia.

Today, this dream that Pastor Hal and Sondra started has become a reality and Highlands Church is the place where people can connect with God and find friends for a life-changing and life-giving experience.
