Mission:

The mission of Hiram House is to enrich the lives of children through camping. We provide the youth of our community with an opportunity to live, play and learn in an environment that is racially, ethnically and socio-economically diverse. Hiram House is committed to promoting family values, building character and opening new horizons for youth.

Hiram House Camp is Ohio's oldest camp and one of the earliest camps in the United States, offering a continuous summer program each year for well over a century. An accredited member of the American Camp Association (ACA), the camp is located just east of Cleveland in Northeast Ohio on 172 pristine acres in the scenic Chagrin Valley.

Beautiful in all seasons, Hiram House Camp offers year-round outdoor education and recreation programs for youth, schools, churches, businesses, civic and other organizations through a variety of Summer Camps, School Camps, and Group Retreats.

Since it was founded in 1896, Hiram House Camp has been a pioneer in opening new horizons for thousands of boys and girls, building character, self esteem, and promoting team and group development through hands-on educational programs, outdoor experiences and activities.  These include: archery, canoeing, camp crafts, high/low ropes, fishing, hiking, horseback riding, orienteering, outdoor skills, performing arts, swimming, wildlife and environmental studies.

The Hiram House theme is American History and the Pioneering Spirit. The camp features Conestoga Wagons, Teepees, Log Cabins, and a Frontier Fort among its many popular attractions. Other camp favorites include a Treehouse, Alpine Climbing Wall, High Ropes Course (Team Building), Train Station & Caboose, Swimming Pool, Weather Station, Nature Center, 1890's Fire Station, Farmstead and the Double H Ranch Equestrian Center.

Hiram House Camp and its experienced, dedicated staff are committed to continuing to play a vital role in helping prepare all our youth to meet the challenges of today and tomorrow. Camp fosters confidence, cooperation, communication and other vital skills in youth that are essential for success throughout life.

Hiram House is ranked amongst the top 12 oldest camps in the U.S. and top 14 oldest worldwide. Only a few camps in the US and Canada have this distinction.
