H.R.G.C. is a place for people to share their love of gardening and nature. The club endeavors to expand knowledge on floral design, gardening in Florida and stewardship of our environment - to meet like-minded people, to improve our community and to preserve the natural beauty of Homosassa, and it's environs. We never forget that the beauty which surrounds us, needs care and tending. We further these goals by promoting conservation of resources, educational programs, field trips, community projects, and club events. We've rallied for Spring protection, hold road side cleanups, offer scholarships, have installed gardens for people and wildlife, pay tribute to our veterans, give away trees during Arbor Day and support one another. Visit our website for more information and our current calendar of events. If you have any questions, please contact us or come to a meeting.
The club meets October through May, on the third Monday of the month. Regular meetings are held in the Florida Room, of the Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park, on Hwy 19 in Homosassa, FL. These meetings are open to all and begin at 9:30am, with a speaker around 11am. Come to learn and stay for the friendship.
