Vision:
Our vision at Hope is that we would be a growing, vibrant, praying, caring congregation boldly reaching out with Jesus Christ in word and deed.
With thanks and praise to God, Hope Lutheran Church of De Pere is realizing the hopes of its founders over fifty years ago. When the original limestone church was built, the back wall was made of cement block. The founders' strategy was that the church building would be expanded to accommodate a growing congregation.
The exterior of the new facility has been designed to blend in asthetically with the original church, connecting it with the educational center. The new sanctuary will provide seating for about twice as many worshipers as well as provide complete handicap accessibility.
The present sanctuary has become our fellowship hall. The original basement is now our youth area, making for flexibility and more available space in the educational wing.
The congregation is particularly grateful to members Jeff Stafford and Bill Jensen who headed the project, to architect David Van Lanen, Aswaubenon, who crafted the plan, and to Jeff Swanson, president of OM Construction, Green Bay, who brought it to life.
The congregation thanks God for His goodness and pledges to renew its commitment to his mission in this community.
