Hungry Toad Farm CSA is offering 20 Full shares and 10 Half shares this year. 22 weeks and Certified Organic! June 10 -- November 4.

You will receive the bounty of each season, and care will be taken to ensure that your box has a generous selection of vegetables that will vary each week. CSA members' needs take precedence over the produce that goes to market.

Starting in Early June, and going up to November. I am offering a limited number of shares at two different levels.

At-the-farm pickup and pickup at 2nd St. Market will be the methods of distribution. Your produce will be available for pickup at the farm on Fridays beginning at 11 AM and will be available until Sunday night. I can also bring boxes to 2nd St Market in Downtown Dayton on Saturdays.

Learn to grow Organically!

I am offering one generous free share arrangement to a dedicated CSA picker/packer/organizer. I am also offering a farm-wide, internship/apprenticeship which includes housing for a whole-season person or persons.

I rely on many local workers, customers, volunteers, and Friends of the Farm in order to bring fresh, healthy, high quality produce to you. I can offer reduced cost shares for those who would like to work on the farm.

I emphasize that I am a Certified Organic Grower, and not a grower who only makes claims about which growing practices or philosophies I follow. Certfication is important. I am also truly Local to the markets where I sell.

You can see my farm, you can meet me and my workers, I can show you my equipment and where your food came from - within a few feet. The money I earn stays as close to this economic area as I can keep it.

I am a Certified Organic Grower (OEFFA) of produce, cut flowers, herbs, and plants. I have been growing organically here for 30 years. I have been certified organic since the inception of the National Organic Program in 2001.

Suburbia is encroaching on all sides here, but this has been a small farm for over 150 years and I maintain an island of sound productivity and sustainability in the midst of it -- for our benefit and for that of our neighbors.

I grow a very wide variety of produce which includes hardneck garlic, special potatoes, bramble fruits, celery, and other not-so-common crops.

Pickup at the farm Friday-Saturday-Sunday, or in Downtown Dayton at the Saturday 2nd St Market. Member pick up their shares at 9307 Rooks Rd. (near Clyo) as early as Fridays 11 AM. Boxes will be in the cooler through the following Monday morning. A limited number of special arangements can be made based upon cooler space and worker availability. Ask!
