Indian Village RV Park is nestled in the rolling hills of the breathtaking Finger Lakes region of New York State. It is a seasonal adult park located in an enchanting setting on the eastern shores of beautiful Canandaigua Lake. Steeped in Indian lore, the area is the legendary birthplace of the Seneca Nation. The Native American translation of Canandaigua is "The Chosen Spot".
At 16 miles long and 1.5 miles at its widest point, Canandaigua Lake is the 4th largest of the Finger Lakes. Indian lore says that the lakes are from the handprints of the Great Spirit. However, science tells us that they were formed by glacial activity during the Ice Age, about 100 million years ago.
In the mid-1800's, steamboats cruised the lake transporting passengers to and from the more than 70 stops that once dotted the lake's shores. Today, Canandaigua Lake is home to a thriving resort area that has quickly become one of the most popular in the Finger Lakes.
